About Lorna

I have been a fully qualified Complementary Therapist for several years and currently work as a freelance and mobile therapist. I also volunteer reflexology at The Cherry Lodge Cancer Care Centre in London and occasionally work for the NHS and other organisations promoting good health. My passion is mainly in reflexology and healing therapies although I am also fully qualified in a wide range of other therapies. I have attended several post graduate courses including a clinical skills course at the Royal Free Hospital in London. I also attended a 'hands on' seminar given by Dwight Byers, who is the President of the International Institute of Reflexology. Dwight Byers is the nephew of the late Eunice Ingham, the remarkable lady who introduced the world to Reflexology as we know it today.

Why Reflexology?
My interest in complementary therapies started when I went to live in the Far East more than a decade ago. The healing effects and the benefits of these therapies alongside conventional treatments were amazing. I soon realised that the various therapies helped people to maintain better levels of wellbeing and also helped them to cope with their problems. I was especially interested in reflexology, as although often neglected, our feet are actually the key to our health with 7000 nerve endings terminating there and each part of the foot relating to a different part of the body.

I am a professional member of the Association of Reflexologists.The AoR is the foremost aspirational, independent professional body for reflexology in the UK. Members are qualified practitioners. more

Reflexology in London
Reflexology is a wonderfully relaxing experience where pressure is applied to the feet using a slow walking movement of the thumbs and forefingers, paying particular attention to specific reflex points. Special foot massage techniques are applied to stimulate lymphatic drainage and circulation.
